Zadig&Voltaire sets the scene for its spring-summer 2016 campaign in the midst of fashion week. Shot against the dizzying backdrop of the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild, in the style of a news report, the new series revels in overtones of glam rock.

Filtering through it is the story of a man who perfectly foreshadows an era. The man is musician/model Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis. Behind the inescapable artistic legacy from illustrious parents Isabelle Adjani and Daniel Day-Lewis lies a generational icon of strange, unsettling beauty.

What is Zadig&Voltaire to him? “The minimalist, subtle elegance that the brand brings to men’s fashion, with some ‘signature’ touches thrown in.” For the new campaign, he becomes the paragon of a marvellously stripped-down modernity that epitomises the collection by Cecilia Bönström: “There is something about Gabriel that is completely atypical and very free”, she says. “I find him quite incredible: he perfectly captures the spirit of the men’s wardrobe I imagined for this season”.
